Briefs - presented to
Parliamentary Committees
CEUDA appears as
witness before Parliamentary Committees, House of Commons and Senate,
depending on the status of a Bill or the issue. When this happens,
CEUDA makes short introductory statements then answers questions from
Senators or Members of Parliament. In any event, CEUDA works to
educate Parliamentarians about issues facing CEUDA members, and to convince
Parliamentarians of the importance of supporting CEUDA members.

News Releases
CEUDA is one of the
PSAC's most politically active and public, vocal Components. Because
Customs and GST issues are often sexy and can easily be translated into
media headlines, CEUDA
is often called to provide comments. On the other hand, CEUDA also
proactively seeks to generate media headlines to make members' views known
and to win public support for members' causes. CEUDA is at the
forefront with media, taking positions, influencing politicians, and
lobbying for our members.

Policies
CEUDA has developed several policies on issues of concern to our members. These provide direction to our union
when consulting management, in our internal operations and in
matters relating to our role in the Canadian labour movement.
