CEUDA
asks FCM to support our call for a
Border Patrol
MAR 15, 2005
Letter
...We
are writing to inform you that we will be corresponding by early
next week at the latest with every municipality in Canada that
is directly on or in close proximity to the US border; namely
municipalities in New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, the three
Prairie Provinces, and British Columbia that are situated along
the border. Other than entertain Late Resolutions at its
upcoming Convention, is there anything the FCM could do to
support our call for a Canadian Border Patrol?

About the Federation of Canadian Municipalities
The FCM and municipal government
occupy a central position in the political and economic structure of
Canada. FCM has been recognized since 1901 as the national voice of
municipal governments. It represents the interests of all
municipalities on policy and program matters within federal
jurisdiction. Members include Canada's largest cities, small urban
and rural communities and the 17 major provincial and territorial
municipal associations. Municipal leaders from all parts of Canada
assemble annually to establish FCM policy on key issues. The
National Board of Directors meets quarterly to review policy and
program matters.
