CEUDA wants jobs merged
... The CEUDA Human Resources Sub-Committee on Trade
Restructuring is actively promoting the merging of the
Compliance Verification Officer (CVO) and the Client Services
Officer (CSO) job descriptions. The Sub-Committee (George
Scott and Nelson Guay) met in Ottawa on March 30, 2004.
They drafted a letter for the signature of J.-P. Fortin, 4th NVP
and Chair of the HR Committee, to bring the position of merging
the CVO and CSO jobs to the attention of CBSA Senior Management.

CEUDA against new job
... CBSA has indicated it will create a new job in the Regions
to work on Customs Self Assessment. CEUDA is of the
position that duties for that job should be added to the current
CVO/CSO job descriptions, which should then be sent to
classification. CEUDA opposes adding any new job
description in these Divisions in what appears to be an attempts
to two-tier the current classification level for the work done
in the Divisions.
