Sarnia work refusal The youth was suspected of being dressed in army fatigues, tried to kidnap a girl, and of also carrying a side-arm. All other Customs Officers followed and refused. Management took over operations. A Customs Chief and CEUDA Representative commenced OSH investigation and suspended it after the first interview, agreeing to disagree. Management advised that at 11:00 p.m. Labour Canada would investigate via a conference call; the Labour Affairs Officer refused to come on site and investigate or to review any pertinent documentation. The call lasted almost an hour and was attended by 9 Customs Officers. On a few occasions it looked like Labour Canada might rule danger, yet a verbal ruling of no danger was issues at about 11:55 p.m. |
