Programs and Plug-ins
The World Wide Web has many sites where you will find audio and video materials, as well as special material exclusive to some sites. Here are the programs and plug-ins you need to enjoy everything the Web has to offer. Though these companies offer more advanced programs at a charge, the programs you need for this site are all available at no cost to you.

Some pages make use of an interactive animation technology known as Flash. Installing the Flash plug-in for your browser will allow you to see these elements on sites that use this file format.  With the Macromedia Shockwave plug-in, you can view fully interactive multimedia --- 3D games, clickable and dynamic animations, graphics, text, and audio from within your web browser.

RealAudio and RealVideo files require RealPlayer, which installs as a plug-in for your browser. Some pages make use of QuickTime video, which again is available as a plug-in for both Navigator and Explorer.
