Meet CEUDA's National President Ron Moran
Previously, Ron held the position of National President during the 1996 to1999 and again during the 2002 to 2005 terms-of-office. During the 1999 to 2002 term, he was the Union’s 2nd National Vice-President, responsible for the Quebec and Atlantic Branches, and played key roles negotiating the first Collective Agreements between the PSAC and CCRA and led the application before the Public Service Staff Relations Board seeking the establishment of a separate bargaining unit for Customs Officers. As CEUDA’s National President, Ron Moran is CEUDA’s Chief Executive Officer. He is an ex-officio Member of all CEUDA Committees and directs the day-to-day operations of CEUDA’s National Office in Ottawa. He chairs the CEUDA National Executive and National Board of Directors meetings, as well as meetings of CEUDA Holdings Ltd. Ron is also a member of the Public Service Alliance of Canada’s National Board of Directors. With 4 National Vice-Presidents, one Equal Opportunities Representative and 24 District Branch Presidents, Ron works at the helm of a strong union team to protect the interests of more than 10,500 Union Members. With the solid support from members and activists and through appearances before Parliamentary Committees, using the media, and personal contact with prominent public officials as well as leaders of other national organizations sharing a communities of interest, he helps influence public opinion as they relate to concerns originating from CEUDA’s Membership. Ron is a dedicated unionist whose approach to labour relations is decisive, determined, and resolved. Protecting and improving employment and working conditions of every CEUDA member are always his key goals. |
